Canine Freestyle is simply dancing with dogs to music. It is a fun sport for the owners and dogs, and the audience. Based on basic obedience training, it adds other dimensions such as music, timing, costuming, routine development, showmanship. Distance work, weaves around the handler's legs, jumps, send-outs, and/or innovative new moves are taught. Handlers do not need to know how to dance in order to learn Canine Freestyle.
